What exactly are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember things about you and your preferences between pages and sessions. Some are strictly necessary for the site to function, while others serve analytics, advertising targeting or preference purposes such as remembering your chosen language and currency.
Alongside cookies we also use similar technologies such as web beacons, pixels and local storage that serve the same purposes. For readability this document refers to all of them as cookies. A cookie may contain information readable only by our site, or information read by a third party such as Google or Meta.
Which categories of cookies do we use?
Strictly necessary cookies keep you logged in, remember your bet slip contents and maintain your session securely. Without these cookies you cannot create an account or make a deposit. They cannot be opted out of because they form the foundation of the site's functionality. They expire at the end of your session or after a maximum of 7 days.
Preference cookies remember your language, currency, dark mode setting and which welcome modals you have already seen. They remain active for 6 to 12 months. Analytics cookies from Google Analytics and our own tooling give us insight into which pages players visit and where they drop off, on an anonymised basis. Marketing cookies from Meta, TikTok and Google Ads let us show you relevant adverts based on your interests and are always opt-in.
How can you manage cookies?
On your first visit the site displays a cookie banner where you can make choices by category. Strictly necessary cookies are always active; all others can be accepted or declined. Your choice is saved for 12 months and you will be asked again after that. You can update your preferences at any time via the cookie link in the footer of every page.
Through your browser settings you can delete individual cookies or block all cookies. Please be aware that blocking strictly necessary cookies means the site will not work as intended, for example log-in may fail or you may be asked to enter a password on every page. Mobile browsers have equivalent settings under privacy or website data.
Do you work with third parties?
Yes, for specific functions we use established third-party services. Google Analytics for site analytics, Google Tag Manager for script management, Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel for advertising performance measurement, Hotjar for user experience analysis and Trustpilot for reviews. Each of those parties has its own privacy policy which you can view on their respective websites.
We do not transfer personally identifiable data to these parties, only hashed or anonymised signals. For marketing cookies the process runs via a conversion API that is only active when you have opted in. You can block any individual third party through our cookie banner without affecting the rest of the site.
